About

Boundless Minds is Uganda-based social enterprise, preparing young people for work. We facilitate school-to-work transition for students and recent graduates in higher institutions of learning through experiential training, entry-level work placement and mentor matching; and curate creative education products and experiences that prepare young people for the future of 21st Century work as entrepreneurs, professionals and social justice champions.

Impact

Over the last 3 years, we have:

  • Delivered work-readiness training for over 1000 young people (University students and High school graduates)
  • Conducted career mapping sessions for over 2000 high school students
  • Achieved 70% transition rate for entry-level work opportunities within 18 months of completion
  • Built a mentorship network of over 100 professionals

Tony Otoa
Board Chair
Tony is the Executive Director of the Stanbic Business Incubator. He is an experienced experienced Public Affairs Coordinator with a demonstrated history of working in the oil & energy industry with main focus on Local/National content. Skilled in Negotiation, Event Planning, Editing, Event Management, and Public Speaking.
Audrey Dralega
Board Member
Audrey, is an education and leadership consultant, and founder of People and Potential, an education-innovation enterprise which offers 360 degree school start-up support and strategy planning and Leadership mentoring for effective school and personal development. She has previously served as the Head Teacher of Rainbow International, Board Member of Set Her Free NGO, and the International School of Uganda where she led the Governance Committee.
Daniel Schuett
Board Member
Daniel, is a project management expert with 15 years of working experience. He has worked in Uganda for more than 5 years as the head of project for the German Development Cooperation (GIZ) and now works as a senior expert for training and skills development at IPC international consulting in Frankfurt. Prior to working in development cooperation, he has worked as a market planning expert at Procter and Gamble. Daniel holds a MSc in Sustainable Development from the University of St Andrews and is specialized in market-based approaches, skills development, Start-Ups and SME support and in leading international teams and networks.
Josephine Omunyidde Zhane
Board Member
Josephine, is a Communications Analyst with the United Nations, with over 15 years experience in Development & Corporate Communications having worked as Manager Corporate Communications with National Insurance Corporation Limited. She is also Founder of Engender Girls' Mentorship Programme – an all girl youth mentorship initiative that develops thought leadership for the girl-child through a series of activities that prepare her to take up her place at the decision making table in the future.
Michael Niyitegeka
Board Member
Michael, is Program Director Refactory, at Clarke International University. Michael is also the ICDL Africa Country Manager for Uganda. He is passionate and practices Leadership Development, Business Technology Strategy and Business Advisory services.
Hashim Wasswa Mulangwa
Board Member
Hashim, is the Chief Development Strategy Officer, at the Global Innovation Fund. His expertise is in Development Finance and Economic Development. He has previously served as the Country Team Lead (Uganda), for DFID’s Manufacturing Africa Programme; and as the Deputy Team Leader/Director Institutional Transformation & Results Delivery, with Adam Smith International.
Fiona C. Ssozi
Board Member
Fiona, is a lecture at Makerere University, and has experience in Information Systems Analysis, ICT for Development Research and (Participatory/Co-Design, Community Informatics & Rural Water Management).
